Radon is the toxic chemical caused from the degradation of granite rocks, and according to the National Cancer Institute, radon is also the second leading cause of lung cancer. The geological makeup of Colorado makes it the perfect place for Radon to occur. Not only does it affect us here in Colorado, but it is a problem in other areas of the country as well.
